The wings on this specimen have been gently opened in order to display its stunning colors and patterns within the crystal clear resin. A welcome addition to any entomology collection. Lanternflies are a species of planthopper and can be found in Cambodia, Vietnam, and Thailand. Although they are called Lanternflies, they do not light up. Their long proboscis is used for feeding, where it will use it to eat plant matter and sap. Brand new lucite block measures approximately 3 inches square. As with all Insect in resin specimens size, color and positioning of lanternfly within the lucite can vary slightly. We guarantee you'll receive a quality specimen but not the exact one pictured. The product you receive may be different than the one shown.
